COC IN METAL SCAFFOLDING (LEVEL 2)

Introduction

This course  is designed to equip participants with the necessary knowledge and hands-on skills to select, plan, erect, and dismantle complex tubular system metal scaffolds, including cantilever and birdcage scaffolds. This course ensures that scaffolding structures meet statutory safety requirements while providing secure and stable access platforms for repair, conversion, and construction projects across various industries.

The job roles(s) / occupations that this unit would be relevant to may include operators, technicians and supervisors across all process sectors, who require to carry out scaffolding works.
Course Aim
A Metal Scaffolder is one who selects, plans, erects, and dismantles tubular system metal scaffold to provide access and working platform for the repair, conversion and construction and other structures in the industry, and to ensure the work he/she performs includes the following:
  • Perform safety checks before, during and after erection and dismantling of scaffolds;
  • Maintain good housekeeping before, during and after erection, modification and dismantling of scaffolds
  • Prepare scaffolding materials, tools and equipment before erection
  • Erect and dismantle complex scaffolds, includes cantilever and birdcage scaffolds

Learning Objectives
This course will equip participants with the knowledge and skills to perform selects, plans, erects, adds, maintains and dismantles complex tubular metal scaffold to provide access and working platform for the repair, conversion and construction and other structures in the industry, and to ensure that the scaffolds meet the statutory requirements.

  14. Dismantle complex scaffold
