The Certificate in Generic Manufacturing Skills for the Process Industry equips participants with essential skills to excel in manufacturing environments. Through five comprehensive modules, learners will master workplace safety and health practices, effective teamwork, and the 5S workplace organization method. Participants will also gain hands-on experience in fitting works using tools and equipment, as well as performing basic maintenance tasks like parts replacement and site reinstatement. This program ensures a strong foundation in safety, efficiency, and teamwork, preparing individuals for success in the process industry.

Disclaimer on Module Recognition for Composite Assessment / Assessment Only Pathway (AOP) Please be advised that the Statement of Attainment (SOA) for
WSQ Perform Fitting Works in Workshop-1 (Competency Code: WPH-PIW-1106-1.1) obtained under the Composite Assessment for Generic Manufacturing Skills (Process) / CGM pathway is part of a bundled full-qualification track.
Under the Ministry of Manpower’s (MOM) Enhanced R1 Framework, the backend Worker’s Credentialing System (WCS) processes and recognizes this full CGM/AOP qualification as a specialized package equivalent to one (1) Level 1 WSQ Skillset AND one (1) WSQ Safety course. Consequently, the individual WSQ Perform Fitting Works module attained within this CGM bundle cannot be decoupled or counted as an independent, standalone second WSQ skillset to fulfill the multi-skilling requirements of the R1 low-levy tier. To qualify for the Enhanced R1 status, workers utilizing the CGM/AOP pathway must still attain a separate, distinct independent WSQ skillset course in a different trade (outside of this composite qualification) alongside the required Level 2 Deep-Skilling course.

The WSQ Certificate in Generic Manufacturing-
Assessment Only Pathway (CGM (Process) – AOP) is for
experienced Process workers to be certified on their
generic skills based on the competencies needed by the
industry.
The full qualification consists of 5 statement of
attainments / certificates:
1. Perform Fitting Works in Workshop
2. Perform Basic Maintenance Works
3. Apply Teamwork in Workplace
4. Apply 5S Techniques in the Workplace
5. Apply Workplace Safety and Health Practices
All the modules are developed in accordance with the
Singapore Workforce Skills Qualifications (WSQ)
requirements.
