This Performing Rigger and Signalman Tasks Course equips participants with the skills and knowledge required to execute safe and efficient rigging and signaling operations. The course emphasizes proper preparation, including assessing tools, equipment, and work conditions. Participants will learn to perform rigger and signalman tasks, ensuring precise communication and coordination during lifting activities. Additionally, the program covers reinstating the work area to maintain a safe and organized environment. This training prepares individuals to contribute to safe lifting operations while adhering to industry standards and safety protocols.
An employee who carries out rigging and / or signaling operation involving the lifting works of mobile or tower crane. (Paragraph R18(2) and R19(2) of the WSH (Operation of Cranes) Regulations 2011)
On completion of this competency unit; learners will
have the knowledge and application skills to be
appointed as a Rigger and/or Signalman before any
lifting operation involving the use of mobile crane or
tower crane in compliance with WSH Act, related
regulations and organizational safe work procedures
